Morgana Walker MAPS

Morgana has over 25 years of counselling and teaching experience, having worked in private practice, clinical and educational settings. She moved her rooms to Northcote in 2021, creating a permanent home for her practice and a new, welcoming space for her clients. A registered secondary teacher, Masters qualified in Special Education, Play Therapist, and Non-Directive Pregnancy Support Counselling, Morgana’s expertise is unequivocal. Prior to the pandemic, Morgana was a formative member of the Victorian Department of Education & Training (DET) Complex Matters Support Team (CMST), and the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Disaster Response Team.

Morgana is a strength-based, person-centered, solution-focused practitioner, who uses a variety of techniques to engage with her clients, including humour and motivational interviewing. She uses an empathic approach to help clients identify their values and strengths, set and achieve realistic goals, and maintain their therapeutic gains. She has expertise assisting individuals to manage distress, get motivated and make and manage changes in their lives. Morgana has a particular interest in those with childhood trauma and supporting positive parenting.

In 2023, Morgana was invited by the Black Dog Institute to be part of the Expert Insights Podcast series, “Teacher Burn-Out due to the Pandemic”, available on Spotify. In the same week, she was privileged to serve as Chair for numerous presentations at the APS & NZPS Symposium: Exploring Trauma & Investigating Neurodiversity. Morgana continues to be one of those rare creatures who enjoys public speaking, especially if it’s on a topic she is especially passionate. Isabella is a dedicated provisional psychologist who has completed her Master’s in Professional Psychology with the Cairnmillar Institute. Isabella has a holistic and client-centred approach, grounded in empathy, respect and cultural sensitivity. Isabella is skilled in working with children, adolescents and adults to empower them with the support and tools required to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. Isabella employs an integrative approach drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She incorporates a level of creativity to her approach to ensure therapeutic techniques are enjoyable and accessible to all ages.

Isabella’s degree in primary education from Macquarie University, as well as her background in special education, contributes to her expertise in supporting a wide range of clients. Isabella strives to create a therapeutic space where her clients feel heard, valued and empowered to express themselves authentically. Isabella has a particular interest working with clients experiencing life transitional issues, childhood trauma, grief and loss, and mental health. Isabella is experienced in working with clients under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), demonstrating a commitment to providing quality care to all individuals. Isabella also has experience working with a wide range of adults facing unique challenges under the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). 

Beyond her professional endeavours, Isabella loves to travel, cooking for her loved ones, dancing, and she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

David Fell

Play Group Educator - Therapy Assistant

David was welcomed to the Therapy Assistant team in 2023 as our School Readiness & Empowerment Group Programs grew in popularity and number. David is currently studying Social Work at LaTrobe University, and brings a lovely calm and gentle manner to all the sessions. Dedicated to improving the lives of his clients, he hopes to bring to the practice his understanding of complex trauma and how it manifests in the behaviour of the child. Through routine, choice and genuine unconditional positive regard, David has already proven himself to his small clients as a role-model and fellow remote-control enthusiast.

Kate has joined us as of 2023, aiding in the running of groups. Kate is currently in her third year of primary education studies at Deakin University. Kate is passionate about the empowerment of children to take charge on their own and is a big supporter of child led, adult supported play. Kate has always wanted to be a teacher and has pursued a career in education to give children the range of individualised support that all children need. She is here practising her skills supporting children with a range of needs.

Play Group Educator - Therapy Assistant

Annie is a new recruit to the team in 2023, helping in the development of our new Buzzy Builders program. She is currently studying a double degree in Psychology and Criminology at La Trobe University, striving to become a clinical psychologist herself in the near future. She is thrilled to be learning and practicing her new skills through the form of Lego therapy, as Annie herself, in her spare time has a strong passion for Lego building. Growing up in a large family, she genuinely loves to make people smile, laugh and feel important. She will always be there to listen and help support your child in any means necessary, one Lego brick at a time.

Jade - Practice Queen Bee

Jade joined BKP in August 2023, bringing her professional flair to our busy hive. With so much going on at any given time, Jade’s calm demeanor is the perfect antithesis to the often chaotic occurrences heard elsewhere in the practice. It is Jade who you will be answering your calls and queries, and perhaps supporting you when you’re contacting us for help at a difficult time.

Discretion, privacy and confidentiality is what you can expect when reaching out for help from our little practice. We are grateful for all that Jade does for us, and for YOU.

Tara Hoopmann - Admin Assistant

Tara is one of our friendly and caring receptionists who may be the first person you will make contact (by phone or email) when you reach out to Bee Kind Psychology. Tara responds to queries, schedules appointments and takes payments. She is client focused, empathic and compassionate and aims to make your experience with us seamless.

Tara has recently completed her bachelor degree in psychological science at Deakin University. Tara’s passion lies in psychology and plans to complete further studies in psychology in the future.
